Our History
Peter Gisolfi Associates was founded in 1976 by Peter Gisolfi, to offer services in architecture and landscape architecture. He started the firm with a total staff of four. By 1980, the firm had grown to 15. In 1985, the firm became a partnership between Peter Gisolfi and Christopher Wadsworth. Over the next decade, Frank Craine, Michael Tribe, Sandra Mintzes and Ronen Wilk became partners, and Ken Pojman and Chris Tramutola became associate partners. The firm varied in size from 15 to 50, depending on economic and construction industry conditions.
In the early years, the firm worked predominantly for independent home owners, housing developers, corporations such as IBM, and hotels. In the late 1980's the focus of the work shifted to academic institutions, as well as cultural, civic, and community buildings. Services in campus and master planning were added.
Today, Peter Gisolfi Associates is a Limited Liability Partnership with two partners, four partners emeriti, one associate partners and two associates. The firm is known for successfully completing projects with many prominent independent schools, public schools throughout Westchester County and Long Island, colleges and universities, and public libraries throughout New York and Connecticut.
